At c.3000 sqft, the interior of this lateral apartment was fully refurbished throughout, to include external terraces and balconies to the rear of the property.

With a grade II* listing and situated in a conservation area, the property required listed building consent and all appropriate heritage surveys, accompanied by a licence to alter agreement from the Grosvenor Estate prior to any works taking place. The entire process was managed by Atelier Hillier with the nominated contractor.

The lateral layout of the apartment remained relatively unchanged however, a full re-planning of bathroom layouts and dressing rooms was undertaken alongside replacement surface finishes and soft furnishings to all areas.

As a Pied-á-Terre, the client requested for large entertainment spaces with a spacious master suite, secondary guest suite and dedicated study. A full new audio visual and security system was installed with automated window treatments throughout.

The walls were finished in a combination of brush paint and specialist plaster with dragged effect and all woodwork finished with a hand painted strie effect. Floors were removed and replaced with varying widths of solid oak boards and all lighting replaced with discreet recessed fittings.

The bathrooms were finished in a variety of marbles with varying thicknesses and finishes including leathering, honing and semi-polishing. All marble was sourced directly from Italy, with two visits required to select the appropriate blocks & materials.

New window treatments including dress curtains, privacy blinds and blackout blinds were all meticulously handmade in London by master craftspeople, using the finest Italian fabrics & trims.
